Women Take the Floor: In what the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is calling
a “takeover” of the third level of the Art of the Americas wing, work by female artists finds the spotlight. Culled from the museum’s permanent collection, 250 pieces challenge the dominant history of the male-centric American art story.

Love Is Calling: The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston mounts celebrated
Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama’s installation, the most immersive and kaleidoscopic of her “Infinity Mirror Rooms.” It features her signature interweaving of pop art, minimalism and psychedelia, and you can take a walk through.

PEM opens its highly anticipated, 40,000-square-foot new wing at the end of September, showing off 13 new galleries show of Asian exports, fashion and design, participatory art and more. Among them, viewers can enjoy selections from style icon Iris Apfel’s “Rare Bird of Fashion” collection.
