Today’s chic bag-in-a-bag concept is anything but a flight of fancy — although it’s certainly reminiscent of something you might carry onboard a plane to meet TSA regulations, along the lines of mini shampoos and mouthwash in plastic Ziploc bags.
The modern bucket-bag combo typically sports an exterior see-through larger bag with a smaller matching removable interior pouches.
High-end labels such as Loeffler Randall and Loéil boast streamlined combos with PVC outer bags filled with faux-leather zippered pouches to accompany more elegant ensembles, while the likes of Zara, Steve Madden and Milo bring a boho vibe of macramé netting, beads and drawstring inner bags.
Consider the brilliance of this design Marie Kondo approved. It’s an open letter to the world entitled “what’s in my bag,” forcing you to manage your purse contents better. No loose receipts, wrinkled dollar bills and extra hair ties.
Also, while designers do supply an inner pouch, you can always swap it out for other colors and shapes that better suit your needs. We’re definitely on board with that kind of versatility.
